Hi dudes. My 205 project has hit another brick wall when the engine i was buying was deemed "no longer for sale". So stuck in a bit of a pickle. I have a 205 1.4 xr and would like to stick an XU10 in there. I know they dont fit straight up and needs some fiddling to fit. The thing is, I can get my hands on a 205 diesel for £70 complete. I was thinking of using the subframe,mounts,driveshafts,suspension from the diesel and put them on my TU shell. Will this suffice, or will I need a GTI subframe?What else is needed to fit?

Nope youll need a Gti subframe and you'll also need to move the location of the engine mount on the o/s inner wing on your XR shell
