ishan 4 Posted February 3, 2009 I've just noticed why my 1.4 GTX is doing less than 20mpg... The fuel tank is leaking!! I'm on the look out for a replacement. Is there any differences with between fuel tanks on the petrol models? Will a GTI tank fit directly on to my 5 door 1.4 GTX? Or all they all the same? RossD 43 Posted February 4, 2009 They are all the same shape and same mounting points yes, but some have different openings where the fuel pump sits in the tank - As far as I know its the carb\diesel ones that are different and all injection models are pretty much the same (i.e GTi and the later base models with injection) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
