Engine Problem

Recommended Posts

swinney88

Went for a drive yesterday and after about half an hour or so the oil pressure gauge was dropping when my i put my foot down. so i pulled over opened the bonnet and the car had decided to relieve it's self of oil out of the filler cap. i was thinking too much pressure in the bottom end and forcing the oil back out. RAC bloke agrred with me he said it could be piston rings worn out .

any help greatly appreiciated as once again i will be getting the bus to work until its sorted.

cheers

Have you just recently done some work on the engine? breather pipes put back on correctly?

Check and make sure the oil breathers on the block arent kinked or blocked, do a compression test to rule out the possibility of worn rings/liners.

Have you put the MI loom on it yet? :)
