How To Remove The Dash

Recommended Posts

Oakley

I can't find a guide as to how to get the dash out of the car.. I need to get to one of the pipes behind to locate a big water leak but don't know how to get the plastics out!!

Can anyone link me to a guide or diagram

Thanks in advance!

Easy peasy. Just locate all the screws and undo them. :(

Start with removing the heater knobs and ash tray, the screws will slowly reveal themselves. The only ones that are hidden are under the ignition cowl and the ones that separate the lower dash from upper dash under the lip of the glovebox, by the fusebox.

it's in Haynes if you've got one.

is this a coolant pipe that you're trying to get to? the only coolant pipes that enter the cabin are the two heater matrix ones and you don't need to remove the dash to replace them

don't follow Haynes and remove the dash to do the matrix - it's loads of work and isn't necessary. there's a guide somewhere on here on how to do it without removing the dash; fiddly but preferrable to dash removal :(
