I've made a silly error during the end of season engine bottom-end rebuild.
Before removing them, I checked that all of the mains and big end caps were clearly numbered. The orientation of the mains caps is easy due to the flywheel-facing 'darts' that are cast into the caps. However, I failed to note the orientation of the big end caps. Should the shell 'tangs' be on opposite sides of the journal, or both on the same side? I have a view, but I don't want to 'lead the witness' so to speak.
