Recommended Posts

Do I remember reading on here something about a shorter oil filter that can be used for Peugeot XU engines?

Anyone have any more info on this please.

Search sucked btw. :)

Why the need for a short filter? Unless lack of space dictated otherwise, I would use the biggest filter I could get away with, more capacity and a bit more cooling.

Do they have the non drain valve in them a la Purflex? I hate Peugeot oil filters and with relocating my rad for the turbo pipes to go over, i usually scrape the skin off my knuckles on its fins then drop oil all over the floor and the sump.

you remove a std oil filter on a gti6 engine in a 20 unless you removed the rad ...lol

thus we fit the shorter one :P

Pretty much all renault filters are the short ones, and the purflux OE one in renault box is available from GSF for pennies.

Gsf do the genuine Renault filter for about £4 on trade, which has the non-drain valve.

Gotcha, what about running a seperate/remote filter, utilising an oil cooler sandwich plate?
