Mint condition but I can't recognize the engine. It looks like combination GT with 1.6 Automatic. Please help

It's a Talbot engine - fitted to some non-UK models.

The GT does not come with the GTI valance, it just comes with the one thats on it, like my GT.

It does look like a talbot engine but not xy7 or xy8 engine type like mine.

It is an XY8 engine (the Talbot one).

If you need any details on it, just let me know.

Nope, it's not an XY8 engine, its the Talbot E1 or G1 (As mentioned above!) engine, which was also used in the 309 in the UK. Side cam, OHV.

The XY8 engine was used before the TU engine. XY8 is an OHC engine.

Ah, ok.

I just noticed the filler cap and the routing of the ignition leads....

E1 is 1118 ccm and G1 is 1294 ccm right?

Was this the engine also used in the Horizon?
