Para 82 2 Cars Posted January 9, 2009 Mint condition but I can't recognize the engine. It looks like combination GT with 1.6 Automatic. Please help
BERTMAN 40 1 Cars Posted January 9, 2009 no idea but where are the driving lights, wheels, front valance and interior that make it a GT?
Ryan 99 Posted January 9, 2009 It's a Talbot engine - fitted to some non-UK models.

SurGie 54 Posted January 12, 2009 no idea but where are the driving lights, wheels, front valance and interior that make it a GT? The GT does not come with the GTI valance, it just comes with the one thats on it, like my GT. It does look like a talbot engine but not xy7 or xy8 engine type like mine. BERTMAN 40 1 Cars Posted January 12, 2009 my GT comes with a GTi front valance, as does every other ive seen... ...before this one
Emmy Seize 8 Posted January 13, 2009 (edited) It is an XY8 engine (the Talbot one). If you need any details on it, just let me know. Edited January 13, 2009 by Emmy Seize
RossD 43 Posted January 13, 2009 Nope, it's not an XY8 engine, its the Talbot E1 or G1 (As mentioned above!) engine, which was also used in the 309 in the UK. Side cam, OHV. The XY8 engine was used before the TU engine. XY8 is an OHC engine.

Was this the engine also used in the Horizon?
