I have pretty much same spec engine as you only 1.9 and was told by Neil over at DES Developments that the standard manifold is good for anything upto about 160bhp. More than that and you need to go 4 branch but lower, which ours more than likely will be, and the standard will do. You will get a slight improvement with a 4 branch, but I emphasise the word slight! Not worth the money for the gain. Oh and definitely get a downpipe which has the split down the middle as this acts as a 4-2-1 manifold and helps torque. Again only a little but this time it is worth the money! If you are unsure give him a ring he knows his stuff.

The std manifold ports are 99% larger than the head one's anyway so there's no real gain at all by Porting them

Dont waste money on some hi flow exhaust manifold on a 1.9. Its not worth it. If your lucky you can gain perhaps 1 bhp or so. The standard manifold is quite good, and it will be more than enough for up to 160 bhp.
