hi there ppl .

pleas could some one exsplane to me where i would find the gear box code so i no what gear box is on my car.

as i have the 2lt turbo engin but not shur what box is on it and i would like to get the corect gear oil .

The gearbox doesn't have a code stamped anywhere on it telling you what ratio's are fitted.

 

The only way you can a slight indicationof what gearbox is fitted is by removing the diff housing & seeing what numbers are stamped into the crown wheel.

 

Correct gearoil for a 205 gearbox is 75w80.
