Yes. Just be careful not to drop anything down the hole!

Nice article Peter, that makes TDC so much easier that messing with a DTi etc like I did when I timed the cam on my 8v.

 

I take it this method would work just the same on an 8v with an Mi or similar 60-2 flywheel fitted?

yeah, peugeot does

not listed by peugeot at all, though it does appear in a picture, the part number no longer is.

 

I did however find the part number on Miamistu's copy, I think this is pretty old as there have been several occasions I couldn't find a part number in Peugeot's records only for it to be on there.
