davemar 16 Posted January 5, 2009 My front Bridgestone RE720s are looking a bit Bobby Charlton now and are in need of replacing. I've had them on for years, so I assume they're now discontinued. Can anyone recommend any good replacements? Are Uniroyal Rainsport 2 any good? I'm running 195/50/15s on 1.9 alloys. I do driving on all types of roads for daily use, and would like plenty of grip in all conditions. I don't do any track stuff. Also, I think two of my rims are leaking a tad as I need to pump the tyres up weekly. I'm sure it's not the valves doing it, as the previous tyres suffered the same problem and valves were replaced. Would most tyre fitters check the rims over if I ask them?

davemar 16 Posted January 5, 2009 I had searched, but didn't see much about whether the RE720's are still around. Googling tyre retailer websites can be a vague on these ones.
pug_ham 240 3 Cars Posted January 5, 2009 Re720's can still be found but they are very rare as the last time I saw them listed it was run out stock. I think I saw them listed on one of the tyre sites last week but they were quite a bit more than some of the newer design tyres & might even have been sized for my 306 @ 195/55-15 so no good to you.
