Tjalde^ 1 Posted January 4, 2009 The blower/heater (do not know which word to use) can not be stopped. This little electric motor is running all the time at the highest level. Does somebody know what might be the problem?
Daz_C 8 1 Cars Posted January 5, 2009 Probably a faulty rheoststat. Don't know what phase 205 you have but early phase 1's the rheostat is on the N/S inner wing just by the windscreen wash bottle and on later models it can be found residing next to the motor itself. Its an easy swap just unscrew the retaning screws and it slides out if I recall correctly.
Tjalde^ 1 Posted January 6, 2009 Is it this box? And I just found this black wire and can not find the right place?
Daz_C 8 1 Cars Posted January 8, 2009 No. the rheostat will be next to the heater motor then.
Tjalde^ 1 Posted January 8, 2009 Ohh, crap. I think it is a bit difficult to get in to the heater motor. But thank you for helping me

Tjalde^ 1 Posted January 9, 2009 Arh, can I see it if I lie with my head, where my feet should be? It is difficult to translate it correct in English
Richie-Van-GTi 70 2 Cars Posted January 9, 2009 yes on a RHD car you get into the left hand side and near the exhaust tunnel there is a small rectangle with a screw at each end and a connector in the middle. This is the rheostat. It may be opposite side in your car due to the pedal box? Its normally opposite side to the heater matrix pipes.
Tjalde^ 1 Posted January 10, 2009 Thank you. I will try to find it today.
