Craigb 2 Posted December 31, 2008 After reading what Sandy was saying about not running a front ARB , I've been doing a bit of testing over the Xmas period . I changed my usual A035 tyres , for my road set of A539's and went out for a hour to see what the base line feel was like. The first thing i noticed was that the A539's are so much lighter than the A035's, they have a much softer tyre wall and you can feel it moving in tight corners. Also they have less grip than the worn forest rubber. The following day I disconnected a drop link , and went for another spin . The car felt so much better over the bumpy Derbyshire lanes , traction was improved , and overall much more stable. It was enough for me now to add to my list of jobs , removing the ARB and the other drop link altogether. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Craigb 2 Posted January 1, 2009 (edited) We once nearly retired on a gravel rally running like that , a rock caught the unattched end of the ARB and bent it vertically down. We ended the stage ploughing a furrow . luckily we were due to go into service , where we had to take an angle grinder to the ARB to get it off So the lot is coming off.
