Silly Question: Battery Light Coming On - Whats It Mean?

Hi Guys,

 

i recently been having problems with this wire that connects to the distributor...

i am buying a new wire but in the mean time i have soldered it because it fell apart...

 

problem is i dont think i did a good job. She starts fine and everything but the battery lights comes on sometimes.

 

What could this mean?

Low charging rate or battery voltage, separate issue to the distributor.

Ok you have 2 seperate issues here.

Assuming the connection is good the soildering should be fine.

And the battery light on the dash means the battery is not fully charged. My bet is alternator.

I would look at it soon because one day your car simply wont start at all!
