Hammered Or Smooth?

Recommended Posts

Moz_Goodwood

im taking my old 1.9 engine out this week and im going to clean up and paint my engine bay before the turbo lump goes in

the hammerite 'dark green' is a very good match to the goodwood colour but i was wandering would it be better in the smooth or hammered finish

question is will it look daft with a hammered finish in the engine bay?

opinions please <_<

Why not rub it down and paint it the correct colour,I know you'll have to laquer over the top of it but it would look miles better than Hammerite,if you must do it I would vote for smooth.

No way use hammered

Go for smooth aerosol

Good coverage, hard wearing and good finish for an aerosol.

Just make sure you warm aerosol up in some hot water, and if possible heat up the parts you are painting at this time of the year.

i painted my big 206 gti brakes hammered gold and it looks really good but thats because they're rough metal so it suits it, probably different on smooth metal.
