Kitch 4 Posted November 8, 2008 I've tried searching for the answer to this query but couldn't find much! I found someone saying they are practically identical, so I wanted to check if I can use the S16 head as a replacement on the Mi16 block and just switch all the sensors, manifolds etc around? Or, if I can, if it would degrade the performance in anyway? It goes pretty well at the mo, be a shame to ruin it. Alternatively, I'm only changing as my current head has slightly bent valves (torqued the cams up out of sequence on the rebuild). Could I just switch the valves over and lap them in? Any suggestions from you wise chaps?
jackherer 543 Posted November 8, 2008 The stud pattern for the exhaust manifold is different, the S16 has 10 studs rather than 9.
Mandic 0 Posted November 8, 2008 Valves are the same, but do check valve guides, they might be damaged as well. Cheers Ziga
