Ignition Wiring For Carbed 205

Would using the engine loom / dizzy / coil etc from a 205 auto be a good way to run a larger carb set-up ?

Depends on the age of the 205 auto, the later ones are single point injection & have a coilpack so they'd obviously be no good but afaik the earlier cab engined auto should be Ok.

You only need to connect a couple of wire's so very easy to mod any injection loom, Dizzy thou will still need modding to be right

cheers, guys I'll be breaking a 'H plate carbed auto early next month and wanted to know if the loom and dizzy were worth adding to my increasing pile of trash / treasure. It's running a BX 1.9 carb with proper early manual choke and the h/g is gone. I was pondering using the carb set up on a gti engine, just for fun stuck into a 1.1 shell. Was pondering future upgrades, too!
