Oil Leak From Oil Cooler Adapter Plate.

ive got a huge oil leak from the front of my engine. ive found where it is, its coming from the oil cooler adapter.

 

 

 

But i need to know what kind of gasket it uses before i fix it tomorow.

i guess i could use some gasket sealent but really would preffer to do it right.

any help would be great.

Just undo the middle pipe then the Big Nut, Thats providing the pipe hasn;t rusted on the nut

No, its not the same as the standard filter 'O' ring, thinner so it fits into the groove on the adpator plate.

Yes, well, its kinda wound on like a filter.

 

Loosen the union for the middle pipe into the adpator plate & then the union underneath that threads onto the oil filter stub on the engine block.
