Gti Front Subframe And Suspension

just got another gti while mines wrapped up for the winter, got a few problems or rather questions. it's got a differant subframe and suspension on it not like the gti. should this be a problem?, it all drives ok although i havn't been that far in it. basically its simlar to mk2 fiestas with the arb going on the arm leg into a bush. i checked the chassis no and it definetaly is a gti but i can't understand why they would have done this.

sounds like it may be a CTi subframe if it has an XU engine.

Yeah, as above. It sound like someone has swapped the front subframe etc for a base model one.

 

I'd get rid of it & fitting the proper one if you can. I've got a GTi subframe somewhere.
