Head Crack

hello chaps

 

I have bin doing abit on my head today got it stripped down but came across a crack...

not good is it think doubt it can be repaired can it?

 

also i have removed valves and springs and found this plastic bung type thing it goes round the hole where the valves feed through through the rest are in but this one has split and came out does anybody no what it is?

its not a crack but a drain.

 

second picture is a valve stem oil seal, replace :unsure:

o rite lol valve stem oil seals right...

 

whats the cap at the top of the valve spring called that has the little colletts in?

strange if you ask me looks so much like a crack...

 

dont suppose any of you that have had the crank out had any trouble getting the main bearings out did you?

 

the rest have come out but the one in the middle with the studs wont shift?

Undo the two bolts at the side of the block on the external face that cross bolt the centre main into place. A very common mistake for an amateur XU engine builder!

;) It's a really simple mistake to make, especially when most XU blocks are covered in so much oil and crap that they get hidden.

Might be worth getting a Haynes manual if it's your first time having one apart, torque wrench settings are your friend!
