Rear Beam, what Have I Done Wrong

Recommended Posts

shooter mcgavin

lowered the back of the car a while back by knocking off the the arms and all seamed well, done a track day and it drove really well if a little soft,

a few weeks back fitted some solid rear bushes and a pair of avo rear shocks

went to another track day last week and all was not well B)

turn in left was fine but turn in right and the back was comming round almost every corner, endded up with a very sore neck from all the handfulls of wheel i was grabing

the tyres i had where not up to much which i dont think helped.

had a look today and everything seams tight tho i did notice that the distance between the beam "bar lever" and the tyre on the left wheel is a lot less than on the right side and can see obvious signs of the tyre rubbing the plastic dust cap and the "bar lever"

not sure what i've done and is this why the back is stepping out of just the s*it tyres.

If there is nothing wrong mechanically, it could just be hitting the bumpstops - at that point you have no suspension and the back will kick out very easily.
