Driveshafts - Different Types?

Morning all,

I went to order a replacement drivers side driveshaft yesterday. Greeted with a little confusion. The factor pointed out that there were 2 types, one with 48 teeth and one with 90 teeth (from memory)

 

The car is a 1.6 but was factory fitted with ABS hence has a 1.9 setup at the front. And now for the crunch - I've had the ABS stripped, so do I need to worry about this at all?

I think that I'm probably best to ignore the ABS thing and have a go with 1.9 driveshafts. I can see a toothed wheel on the original drive shaft, but there's nothing on the car that this now meshes with.

 

 

I hope I'm right.
