Fitting Official Peugeot Sideskirts...

Recommended Posts

Todays mission, should I choose to accept it is to fit these...

OfficialPeugeotSideskirts_1.jpg

Now while I can appreciate they may not be everybodys taste, I would appreciate a couple of pointers on fitting them.

There are basically SIX screwholes, 3 in the sill, 2 behind the Front Wheel and 1 at the back. There are no fixings with the kit, so I will be nipping out to buy a handful of screws.

Q1. What screws should I be using to affix the Kit

Q2. What preperation do I need to do on the new holes to stop them becoming rotten?

Q3. Are there any key areas I should be sealing to prevent water ingress.

Thanks again, you wonderful people.

Jimi :)

Hey jim, I have heard of self sealing rivets if you'd want to do it that way? Have you held them up to the car yet? what do they look like? good luck

you need some sticky stuff of some sort, silkaflex/tiger seal etc.

as for the fixings I believe Peugeot just used a few self tappers!

Yes I have offered them up, I think they will look very smart, moreso when I get my Creamy White 'pots on :)

Are those not Zender side skirts? I think they were dealer sold/fit rather than official Peugeot merchandise.

They aren't my bag, but if they were I'd use an adhesive rather than put holes in the sills.

Nah, I think they're Peugeot ones Dude. Got 'Peugeot 9600.H1' stamped on the end.

Going to get round to fitting these now, been backwards and forwards to Hospital this morning with little 'un, Gastoentaritis, or whatever its called. He' ll be alright :) Ive got some tiger seal and some self-tappers, I'll be back in an hour or so with a pic.....hopefully.
