Searching For A Base Map - Megasquirt Ii V3

Recommended Posts

andy0075

Hello!

A friend of mine has a 309GTI16V Rallyecar with 170hp now and

we try to change the original ECU to an Megasquirt II V3 controller

and to remove the air flow meter. Instead of that we will install a

MAP Sensor. The Rest will stay original except a bigger throttle

body (60mm) and a wideband lambacontroller. Maybe, if it is

necessary larger injectors.

We are looking for about 200hp.

Does anyone of you has a base map for me ?

Is it possible to connect the Megasquirt directly instead of the

original ECU to the original loom ? Does anyone has a picture

how the cable beetween the original loom and the DB37 connector of

the megasquirt should look ?

please, if you have a map / picture for me to start working with send it to

andreas.ortner (@) mywave.at

thank you

Andy

I think Petert may have some base information but I'm unsure who would have a complete map to suit megasquirt.

I have seen a Megasquirt connected to the original loom, but it was built inside the Bosch ECU case.

HAve you tried the megasquirt forums ?

For the loom you will need identify the wires coming out of the std ECU and then match them to the pins on the MS unit. Either chop the std connector off and solder the connections directly into the DB37 at the correct pins or make a small conversion loom. I suppose if you butcher a std ecu case you could solder a mini MS loom into the back of the connector plug on that. Either way you will probably have to add a few wires into the original loom.

If the MS has been made as per instructions all wiring diagrams can be found on the MS websites.
