im sick of fixing the stupid avac system on my s16 engine so im getting rid..

i have a 1.9 mi16 ally inlet and tb.

does anyone know of a guide how to do it as i need to get it done in a weekend as it is my daily driver!

basically need to know -

does the throttle possition sensor fit to the 1.9 tb?

do the breaters swap straight over?

which oil filler to use?

and any other info you think i may need!!

thankyou

Have a search as I;ve gone over this on the GTi6 inlet which is easier to fit, It's really making pipes up and transfering parts over

Im after a good 2nd hand avac diaphram once you get them off.

Saying that in 60k of the s16 ive never had a fault with the avac till now

The acav on my s16 was still working at oer 120k, great for mid range torque- best road manifold pug has ever built in my opinion. Audi and vauxhall to name a few are now doing "twin port". Has anyone done back to back test to see if power gains can be gained from 1.9 manifold? I reckon it will lose power and mpg unless its mapped to suit

I don;t think it will fit the 16v manifold, I guess you might need to trim the spindle down slightly as the GTi6 one is a direct fit, You'll need to get a 'T' piece for the vacume and MAP sensor, With a Remap this should give a nice gain mainly due to the TB size, The S16 one is tiny

No, everything from the S16 manifold is a direct swap so no problems at all
