What Carbs Would Work With A 1.9 Gti Engine?

Recommended Posts

i've seen some weber 35 carbs on ebay and was wondering if its worth getting those?

i've heard of weber 40 and 45's being fitted, but never 35's... any reason for this?

35's are a bit too small IMO, there's depending factors, like what the car's planned use is etc, but at least 40's on a 1.9.

even a 103 bhp 1.3 "Euro" Rallye uses twin 40's :(.

Most I've seen are using 45's.

Regardless of what type you get, try and get a complete set up that is ready to install on a 1.9. as you could spend far more on getting a set ready for install and still need to buy stuff to get it running. At least if you buy of someone who has these from a 1.9 you know they'll run and are jetted correctly (in theory) so you're nearly there!
