Hi, just trying to wire up my Lumenition ECU and getting a little confused with wiring, and being my first time with this, could do with a little help if thats ok.

basically, I'm trying to wire up this wire, (The tacho):

to the dash multiplug which i managed to see dreamweaver's pics on which goes to what.

So I chose wire 112 to connect it to, but when i trace wire 112 in the engine bay it doesn't actually go anywhere but before i started this whole thing the rev counter was working fine, So am i attempting to wire this up wrongly i'm wondering.

I trace it back and this is what I find:

next just want to check i have done this correctly, connected the fuel pump wire to the white wire next to it on the smaller multiplug to the dash:

please can anyone tell me what 'Upshift' should go to and if it is needed?

This wire, 'Ign Sense',

Hey dude, if you still have the coil amd wiring then thispic should help... aas you can see the wire on the far right of the coil controlls the rev counter, just trace it back to the multi plug and bingo

hi, thank for the info but that pic doesn't really match the wiring i have got, or it does and my wire colours are different but, i made a mistake on the first pic, the wire that goes nowhere is a different wire, I think the wire i was looking at actually goes here below the inlet manifold, is this right? Its the wire i the right i think?

Picture

And if this is the right wire, do i disconnect it from this point and connect it to the tacho wire on my ECU or is there another point i should be putting the tacho wire in

The wires in the last picture are the ones to the oil pressure sender & low oil pressure stop switch so neither of them have anything to do with the rev counter.

The grey wire in your second picture should be wire 112 & that it run to pin 1 on the original coil plug in the engine bay loom.

Is this system using a Coil Pack or old type of coil?, I remember that the Luminition was a odd system for this as I know that it can run one or 2 amp's and depending on which system it is depends on which wires you connect up in the loom for it to work correctly

The cut off should be either a 12v live or switched live, I would get a wiring Diag from Luminition as then you can always trace the wires back to the ECU plug

Coming from the dash it does say 112 but tracing it back i'm sure that's where it goes to, but its doing my head in. Im sure the wire to the coil consist of three yellow wires and 1 green wire (or the other way round), Ill take a pic to show you

Thanks for the suggestion, I beleive i have their paperwork and while it has been helpful to a certain extent, its not solving all my problems. Thanks for the info though, I haven't seen a wiring diagram available from them

Here are the wires going into the coil

coil pic

so they dont look the same but i've decided im gonna strip down whats hiding the wires to define exactly where they're going because it feels impossible at the mo
