Extra Plumbing Around The Servo.

In the pipe leading from the inlet manifold to the servo is a T-piece with a smaller diameter pipe coming of it and it disappears into the bulkhead near the ECU.

 

Can anyone tell me what this is for? Is it needed and does it ever split and leak air? There is no mention of it Haynes, that I can find.

it'll be for the sunroof seal IIRC, it runs off a vacuum and has a reservoir under the scuttle panel.

Ah yes, sounds like it.

 

That's why my old non-sunroof xs didn't have it. Thanks.
