306 Running Gear

Recommended Posts

hey

im half way through stripping my sorrento down to get alot of work done on it

its on 309 gear up front and i was going to build a beam for the back

then it got suggested to me to maybe see if the 306 stuff would go on

how much wider would the 306 gear be,and would it go on bolt for bolt or would brackets need adjusting or even re locating and would it really be worth all the extra work?

thanks

ben

It's much too wide (wheels stick out about 2-3" from the arches) and either needs a fair amount of work to fit.

Basically, don't bother. Use the 306 arms for some useful negative camber by all means, and the anti-roll bar on GTi/S16/XSi models is a useful 205/309 upgrade once shortened and resplined by 205Parts - but the beam as a whole don't bother with.
