Removing Rear Arches.

Recommended Posts

davemar

One of my rear plastic arches (on a 205 GTi) was ripped off recently after an argument with a branch. The one of the other side has seen better days too, but I can't work out how to remove it. I don't want to just yank the thing off if it going to break anything useful.

Also how do I refit them?

There are metal clips inside the wheelarch that the plastic pegs (which themselves clip into the plastic spat) clip into.

You can try levering them off gently with a trim took, but if you accept you'll probably break a few you won't be disappointed! They are not dear from the main dealers, mine (most useless Pug dealer ever) even stocks these.
