Dizzy Curves

Recommended Posts

16v205

Hi

Anyone know roughly the ignition curves of a 1.6 and 1.9 gti distributer or anywhere I could find them online? Degrees advance per 1000 revs would be great.

Cheers

Rich

No  , been looking for the same info in the past and found - nothing ... just the usual static/dynamic degree value and nothing listed regarding the entire rev range ..

Rgs ! :D

If anyone has the French RTAI manuals, they have this info in. The french version of Haynes but 1000x times better!!

This topic: French Forum - Scroll down for curves has a couple, the curve code (CO19 in this case) should be stamped on the dizzy somewhere.

'A' is the centrifugal advance and 'B' is the vacuum advance

Also This topic - again at the bottom has the 1.6 and 1.9 curves superimposed on each other so you can see the difference. The blue line is the 1.9 and the red the 1.6.
