Peetypug 5 Posted March 23, 2008 when the gti6 i bought had its crash it snapped the mounting pin out of the top of the box here i was just wondering if it can be fixed? or is it better/easier to re-house the gears? i've been told that its basically a 1.6 box with an extra gear, is this correct? will any other gearbox housing do to re-house it? thanks pete p.s. i'm not very good with gearboxes, the last one i tried to do anything with took a short flight through the air then plummeted to the ground Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
welshpug 1,682 Posted March 23, 2008 can be fixed, unfortunately its quite a common occurrence in crashed gti6's, remove the remains of the mount from the body and you should be able to get it welded back up. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
