Fault Code Readers

Been wandering round town hoping the 205 gets better by letting it have a nice long sleep , which i doubt, anyway while bimbling round halfrauds i saw some ecu fault readers which are about £30 and supposed to be able to read the ecu fault logs (comes with fault code explanation book) on Peugeot's built later than 1988, since mine is an 89 phase 1.5 i was wondering if it would be of any use,

 

Has anyone got any experience with these and are they any good?

 

Would be worth the cash if they actually help

 

Any advice greatly appreciated

Hi,

may be wrong but i don't think they work on the jetronic system (which yours should still have). I think the (very) late ones may have fault reading capabilities but not the pahse 1.5 by a long way (my phase 2 doesn't)
