306 Steering Wheel Swap

I want to change my steering wheel on my 306 as its gone all rough and shiny in parts but it has a air bag, so how do i go about getting the wheel off??

disconnect the battery and take the 2 star bolts out from the back of the steering wheel that hold the airbag in, then just disconnect wires and remove wheel, thats all i did on the saxo, altho i didnt disconnect battery, then my mate told me i should have as airbag can go off :)

you need to leave the battery off for 5 mins or so.

and flash the lights, this will drain any residual charge in the electrical system :wacko:

awsome, also my dad pointed out that the airbag only lasts 10 years as stated in the handbook, wonder how many cars out there are older than 10 years old with an airbag!
