one of the brushes has snapped where the copper wire connects it to the brush,

Most people just chuck another starter motor on, as they're usually only £10-15 second hand.

im pinching the starter motor off the 205 1.6 automatic thats in the garage (has been there rotting for 4 years! parents say i can have it for free) also pinching the bonnet!
