Droplink Problem When Fitting Gti-6 Shocks? Also Spring Question

Recommended Posts

sussex_gti

Looking to change my coilovers, and have been offered a set of gti-6 shocks by Anthony. if i remember correctly, isnt there a problem fitting the droplink? Can any modifications be done to get around this?

He also has some Eibach springs for sale, will these make my mi16 gti sit too high? If so, will 205 springs fit 306 shocks ok?

Cheers, Chris.

Never tried the strut's but I know the drop link take off is in a different place, Springs I would leave unless you have a iron blocked engine as they are suited to a car with pretty much another 100kg's on the front end

Does anyone know if the drop link mount can be cut off and re-welded?

I have gti-6 front dampers on mine and if the mount is in the same position on the coilovers it wont be a problem. It just mounts the droplinks at a slightly different angle.
