AdamVester 0 Posted January 19, 2008 just been doing a little research and it looks like the Bendix system by the photos am i correct?
richsmells 2 Posted January 19, 2008 It'll be bendix on a 1.6 gti. You can fit 1.9 girling calipers to the 1.6 hubs (like I have) and retain the 1.6 disks (different offset). The girling calipers are slightly better design as the bendix sliders tend to wear causing an awful clunking noise when reversing. They weigh more though. AdamVester 0 Posted January 19, 2008 if this an easy fit? just undo the 2 bolts and shuv um on if so ill carry on with my purchas as i can get hold of some calipers from a 1.9 easy. so i will just need 1.9 calipers to use these pads?
