What Other Brake Caliper Options Are There (front)

i currently run gti-6 with feredo 3000 pads, and they work well

 

but was just wondering what other options are out there

 

what 4 ports???

 

lotus elise 2 pots? this worth the upgrade???

 

i'm running speedline's

surely no need to go any bigger mate? i have not driven my stripped out 205 with 6brakes yet but my 1.9 had s16 calipers and they were more than enough

doubt any bigger than 6's would fit under speedlines anyway would they?

but i have seen bigger brakes on 2 other 205's and just wonder what options are out there

 

as you say, they do work well

bolt straight on? or would need a bracket made up?

Yes, alloy 4 pots.

Yes, they bolt straight on.

There are several topics that cover the issue here.

 

The only nag is the clearance problem with the wheels, usually a spacer is required.

 

 

I´ve got both setups and would suggest, you stick to your current brakes as they are fine indeed and cost considerably less than the Brembo stuff.

Wilwoods tend to be very good for the money, AP racing and Alcon are the ultimate caliper porn though! lol

 

The lotus 2 pots came from my idea didn't it? I only thought of this because there are loads spare at my work plus pads for them are cheap...

yeah they had,

 

but he had problems with them, i think the fluid was off and boilding, as the car had stood for a year and was only that weekend they moved it, then took it on track :)...lol nutters
