We are moving house.

Filled my 405 up with cardboard boxes and whilst pushing a box into the passenger seat pushed the rear view mirror out of its socket!!

Question

How to push the rear view mirror with big round socket back into the hole it came out of??

Have been pushing at various angles with no result.

Have you tried using anything to lubricate it to make it easier to push in? Silicone spray or a light oil. Even Fairy Liquid can help on rubbers and plastics.

Job done.

A bit lube, and a gentle tap with a hammer!!
