Dashboard Flocking

I've seen a few on some of the rally cars and while they look nice and may stop light reflection I just can't justify it, the 205 dash isn't that shiney!

 

Also half of all the rallys I do are at night.

a noob question here........... how is flocking actually done? is some kind of thin carpet stuck over the dash thus increasing the weight of the dash?

'stuff' = electrically charged fibres which are all pointing the same way.

Just had a go at using the flocking kit from Frost.

 

Initial results are a bit patchy , but i will let it dry brush it down tommorow and touch up the lighter covered areas.
