Search is broken before anybody mentions it....

How the hell do i get it out!? been struggling/swearing for the last hour, and im getting nowhere....

I assume you have to pull it out with string is that right?

Ive been trying that, but the string snaps before the H/U shifts :o

Is there something ive missed hear? bolts holding it in perhaps?

Access from the back is so bad, i cant really see anything even with my handy mobile phone torch.

Any tips much apreciated!

Cheers James

Managed it in the end, just required the right balance of fiddling.

What i didnt realise, was the alpine unit was so old, it used something different from the usual ISO connectors, meaning i could'nt swop the 2 headunits between my 2 cars!

Making the few hours or so a waste
