Does anyone know why 1.9 compensators are fitted beneath the chassis on 205s yet they're in the engine bay on 309s?

Are there any advantages/disadvantages to having them in either position?

maybe on the 309 they wont get coverd in road grime etc like on the 205..

Maybe on the 205 they won't drip fluid on your paint when you change them... :o
