Recommended Posts

damo

i have a cti and looking at my car, my wishbones look like these

http://www.timotorsport.co.uk/ti_link2.asp?link_id=12 (TCA bush kit picture)

I think the cti should have the more trangle type ?

It was originally a 1.6 cti 1991. it has had a 1.9 engine put in it.

Any help with my confusion is welcome lol.

Damo.

Thats the right ones mate like the base model ones, :) you can upgrade to the GTi frame and arms but these are usually good enough B)

Best thing about the base model arms is that they are cheap!!! Nearly as cheap as buying a set of bushes for the GTI. I just replaced an arm on my CTI £13 with the VAT.

My old project CTI! ( I didn't lower it, that was done later)

These may be of interest

so, It's a BX 1.9 engine with a turbo diesel gearbox!

If you bought it from the ebay ad. I saw........some of it was a little fanciful of how much was spent on it's rejuvenation. but the car drove better than any other 205 I've owned! (It's still pictured in my avatar) enjoy it, it's a good example.

I would imagine the lower arm balljoint covers have been split during lowering? as they were both nice and tight a few months ago. If they're "wobbly" try some new pinch bolts before splashing out on new arms
