jim21070 2 Posted September 29, 2007 (edited) Nice thought to use a vacuum pump for the servo when doing a carb conversion. I'm sure it could be made to work from the end of the cam with an adaptor of some sort but be aware they need an oil supply. On the TD head, the oil is supplied from the same gallery as feeds the cam bearings so it is under pressure. The belt-driven pumps have their own little sump for lubrication.
