kyepan 291 Posted September 21, 2007 Hi there, Need to change the fuel tank as my exaust is wearing a hole in it.. a firey death following a small prang is reserved for 1960's f1 drivers.. not me. anyhow, hows it done? is it in the haynes? Are there any seals and pipes i should change whilst i'm on the job. does anyone have part numbers for the hard pipes that run under the car, because they are rusty cheers J
pug_ham 245 3 Cars Posted September 21, 2007 It easy enough to remove, two 13mm M8 nuts at the back & the filler pipe jubilee clip in the wheel arch. Best to run an M8 nuts along the threads for the mounting stud first to clean the rust etc off them & get some pentrating oil on the nuts to ease things. I think the fuel pipes are still available but its easier to buy a roll of 8mm copper fuel pipe & use that imo. They should be listed on Pug parts. Graham.
