IIRC the gentry uses the 1.6 gti running gear. Does the rear brakes use discs or drums?

Have a look at your huibs with a wheel off, if it has a notch in the ring around where the hubnut is inside you have 1.9 hubs, if its solid they are either 1.6 GTi or base model hubs.

Have a look at this picture to clarify what I mean

The UK auto's have base model hubs fitted so your's might be the same.

As far as I'm aware, Gentry's use base model hubs, 1.6 driveshafts, 1.6 calipers, and 1.9 disks - the same setup STDT's run.

If that's correct, then any brake upgrades that fit a 1.9 GTi (306 GTi-6, 307 etc) will also fit your hubs - it's only 1.6 hubs they don't fit.

If you can get a picture of the brake disk then it's easy enough to tell whether you're running base model or 1.6 hubs, as the offset on the disks is totally different....
