boldy205 75 Posted September 3, 2007 Hi, i need a cam timing disk, the type you get from an aftermarket cam company for putting some timing marks on an engine. I am having trouble finding one, surely some one has one lying around they would lend/sell to me fro a few beer tokens? would pay the postage and a pint for a lend of one??? Thanks Matt. sutol 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Some on fleabay for less than a tenner posted. they say they are for motorbikes but just adapt the hole in the centre to fit your crank bolt, make a pointer to point at the disc at true top dead centre and your away.
welshpug 1,683 Posted September 3, 2007 stick and angle tightening gauge on the crank pulley bolt, point it to a mark at TDC, then rotate it to the specified angle, and IIRC this should be peak lift on a lobe.
