Anulfo 22 Posted July 29, 2007 Touching on some points made by visaGTi man on gearing i wonder if anyone could shed some light on what set up i have? The box was built and fitted a couple of years ago by Total motorsport solutions up in Leeds.At the time the guy put it on rollers and toook some details for me as follows:- GEAR RATIOS 1ST 2.920 2ND 1.850 3RD 1.360 4TH 1.068 5TH 0.968 DIFF RATIO 3.947 This on the road gives speeds at 7,000rpm of :- @7,000rpm 1ST =41MPH @7,000rpm 2ND =65MPH @7,000rpm 3RD =88MPH @7,000rpm 4TH =112MPH @7,000rpm 5TH =124MPH It appears to be a standard set up until 5th,just wondered what kind of set up i have and whether i may benefit from changing it a bit?
