Yep, big end bearings. Replacing them this week.

how hard was this to do, and did you regrind the crank?

big ends are pretty easy to do just a case of drainig oil, removing sump and then changing bearings a piston at a time as you'll have to rotate the crank to get to them all.

 

It would depend on the condition of the surfaces as to whether you want to do a regrind (and measuring with a micrometer to check that they are still within tollerance), if you do want a regrind then its alot bigger job. Gearbox off etc
