Can Any One Help With A 106 Battery Light

the battery light came on faintly the alternator is charging at 9v so it broke but when i booster packed it off i noticed the orange engine light was on does it normally do this if the battery light is on?

it's a 1.6 8v 106 rallye

the bat lights obviously the bust alternator, could be that the ecu has spiked on a higher voltage when it failed or you jumped it, replace the alternator, then see if the light goes out.

 

if it doesnt start you may have fried the ecu. if it starts and stays on , you will need to get the fault reader on the ecu.

yes it still starts and runs, so it's not the ecu will prob have to get it on a code reader though
